Each variety we serve at MUN has been personally selected by Mun Kim in Japan.

Junmai; Miyagi, Japan

"Dewdrops” - fine, tart, fruity and smooth.
Light refreshing sake, suitable for Tuna
Tatar, Kimchi and Spicy Tuna. Also ideal for
sake “newbies.” Served cool.

Junmai Ginjo; Hyogo, Japan

"Kobe Classic” is dry with minerality and freshness.
From the well-known Kobe region, this sake
“marries” the variety of the Korean BBQ menu.

Sake - the (still) little known delicacy

In Japan, sake is more than just a drink; it is part of the country's self-image and culture. The exquisite delights that are created in traditional breweries, where every grain of rice and every drop of water is important in deciding on taste, colour and quality. SImply perfect to accompany Mun Kim's dishes.

Because rice is also the focus of Mun Kim's work, the art of rice cooking, the interplay of water, cold, heat and time - all this is also decisive when brewing sake. Mun Kim travelled through Japan for several weeks in the Winter of 2019, visiting renowned breweries, tasting and selecting the appropriate sake to round off his sushi, Korean BBQ and Tasting Menus.

We will keep your reservation open for you for 30 minutes from the reservation time. Then the table is released. We are happy to accept your EC, Master, Visa or AMEX cards. Unfortunately we cannot accept 500 € notes.

MUN Restaurant is only a few minutes' walk from the Gasteig Cultural Centre and Max-Weber-Platz. You can easily reach us by public transport, on foot or by bike - and if you come by car, there are plenty of parking spaces in the immediate vicinity.
